Team standings, and looking ahead to Event #3 at Erskine on the 10th Feb

Team standings after 2 events

  • U11
    • U11 Boys: Giffnock are leading, but Kilbarchan a close 2nd!
    • U11 Girls: Law and District are ahead, but very close 2nd and 3rd for Airdrie and Giffnock
  • U13
    • U13 Boys: A three way battle between Law & District, Kilbarchan, Kilmarnock, with Giffnock North not far behind in 4th
    • U13 Girls: Giffnock are looking strong contenders to take this event, but close for 2nd and 3rd between North Ayrshire and Kilmarnock
  • U15
    • U15 Men: A strong start at event 1 For East Kilbride means they’re in pole position, but close for 2nd and 3th for VP-Glasgow, Helensburgh and Kilbarch
    • U15 Women: Giffnock are clear leaders, but Airdrie, East Kilbride and Law & District are too close to call for 2nd and 3rd.
  • U17
    • U17 Men: Kilmarnock looking like they’ve taken this, but Ayr Seaforth and Shettleston are neck and neck for 2nd and 3rd.
    • U17 Women: Looks like a four way tussle between Law & District, Kilmarnock, Greenock and Shettleston
  • U20
    • U20 Men: Either of the three teams in contention, Kilmarnock, Cambuslang and Law & District could take this.
    • U20 Women: Similar story for the women, with East Kilbride, Shettleston and Kilmarnock all in with a chance.
  • Senior
    • Men: Shettleston have the edge, but Bellahouston Harriers aren’t far behind. Close between Law & District, Bellahouston, Kilmarnock and Cambuslang for the remaining podiums.
    • Women: Bellahouston Harriers are in the lead, but Bellahouston Road Runners could be in with a chance. Ayr Seaforth, Kilmarnock and Shettleston all possibles for 3rd place.
  • Master
    • Men: Cambuslang are leading, with East Kilride in 2nd. Very close for 3rd between the Bellahouston RR and Harriers.
    • Women: Cambuslang again leading, but 1 point in it between 2nd Law & District, and 3rd Bellahouston Harriers. A poor result on the day by any one team though could open this right up!

Erskine on 10th February

Just a reminder that the 3rd and Final West Scotland XC League meeting is in Erskine (Barwood park) next weekend (10th February).

Reminder that events start at 11.30am (U11 Girls) and conclude with the combined U20, Senior, Masters race at 1.30pm.
