Background
Leagues offer participants of all ages more opportunities to compete, by providing races right through the cross-country season. They offer great training and development opportunities. They are simpler to organise than organising separate county events. Plus they are great fun to participate in.
There have been previous efforts to start a cross-country league in the West of Scotland, but for various reasons it has never quite reached fruition. In the last few years, with a brief pandemic pause, efforts resumed, and a working group was formed.

2023/24 Provisional dates
We are pleased to now be in a position to publish provisional dates for the 2nd year of the West District League. Dates and venues/host clubs are currently provisional pending permits etc:
